Board
Stewart Deering
Chief Executive Officer

Stewart has spent more than 20 years at Reef and is involved in the delivery of many complex developments and investments totalling several billion pounds in end value. Stewart is proud of Reef’s strategic partnerships and this, together with an innovative approach to design, funding and delivery, has positively influenced the team’s ability to deliver vibrant and sustainable places.
Stewart is passionate about collaborating with a range of organisations such as research, academic and healthcare institutions, together with funding, occupier and local authority partners that are critical to the success of any project.
He has spent the last ten years focusing on the healthcare, science and innovation sectors, with all projects underpinned by placemaking excellence. Within his role as CEO of Reef + Partners, he is actively engaged with project teams across a range of developments.
Peter Langly-Smith
Managing Director

With over 20 years of experience, Peter is responsible for leading and delivering high-impact developments, including Tribeca, a 1 million sq ft Life Sciences and innovation Campus in King’s Cross; the strategic joint venture with Guy’s and St Thomas’ Foundation at Snowsfields and the repositioning of Gloucester City Centre, a mixed-use commercial scheme developed in partnership with the City Council.
Peter is deeply committed to delivering meaningful change, and bringing people and best in class teams together to achieve ambitious goals. He finds purpose in tackling complex challenges head-on and enjoys working with our numerous and varied partners.
As Managing Director he oversees the Development and Asset Management teams within the Business, and is the Board Director responsible for ESG across the portfolio.
Jon Piper
Chief Financial Officer

Jon is responsible for delivering a high performing finance function at Reef + Partners. He has over 17 years’ of experience in real estate, with deep expertise in commercial, residential and retail sectors. He trained as a Chartered Management Accountant at EY where he was a corporate finance consultant for 10 years; and subsequently moved into senior finance positions within real estate organisations including Head of Investment at Clarion Housing Group, Finance Director for a retail focused property developer, and Head of Transactions for Related Argent. In addition to his role as Chief Financial Officer, Jon is a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Finance & Audit Committee for a for-profit Registered Provider.
Stephen Barter
Advisor

Stephen has over 40 years’ experience within real estate, holding senior leadership roles within a sovereign wealth fund, an international property company, an international investment bank, a global real estate consultancy and a Big 4 accounting firm. He has extensive international experience across 6 continents.
He now has a portfolio career as a Board Chair, NED, Trustee and Advisory Board Member within the corporate and public sectors, including an advisory role for a globally leading university on property matters including the Life Science focussed sector. Stephen also has a number of pro bono appointments within the arts and education sectors.
Adam Kerr
Development & Asset Management Director

Educated at the University of Cambridge, Adam has over 35 years of experience in property investment and development and joined Reef in 2018. Before this, Adam was Head of Annuity Transactions at Legal & General and has been involved in over £5 billion of long-income transactions over the last 13 years. His work includes advising the Reef team on many projects and delivering the funding structures for a student scheme in Oxford, and regeneration partnerships in Wimbledon and Silvertown (London). Adam is dedicated to providing solutions to the affordable housing crisis and sustainable regeneration of UK town & city centres.

Will Colthorpe
Development & Asset Management Director

Will began his career in architecture before gaining experience at leading engineering firm Whitbybird and planning consultancy DP9. A qualified Planning and Development Surveyor, he became an equity partner at Argent, where he spent 16 years driving the transformation of the King’s Cross estate.
Joining Reef in 2025, Will brings extensive expertise across the entire development lifecycle, including master planning, design, planning, procurement, construction, leasing, and asset management. His diverse experience spans multiple asset classes, including commercial, residential, leisure, retail, hospitality, and education.
Thomas Partridge
Development & Design Director

Thomas joined Reef Group in 2021 and has been focused on developing our science and innovation portfolio. This includes securing planning for 2 major projects in Stevenage and Oxford, and he is currently delivering world-class research facilities in central London including Tribeca, Snowsfields Quarter and Royal College Place. Thomas studied architecture at The Bartlett, UCL, and has worked for several award-winning architecture firms, giving him an in depth understanding of the design, coordination and construction of complex projects. He is passionate about designing adaptive built environments for a changing climate, and ensuring that the places that Reef create provide the maximum social and economic value with the minimum possible impact on the planet.
Ed Kievenaar
Development & Asset Management Director

Ed joined Reef in 2018, bringing a strong background in investment and asset management. He spent eight years in key roles at HSBC Global Real Estate and a private equity-backed property company, where he specialised in the acquisition, repositioning, and revitalisation of town centre assets across the UK. At Reef, Ed leverages his expertise in financial analysis, investment strategy, leasing, and funding applying to both asset management and development of major development projects across a diverse range of asset classes. Committed to creating impactful, future-focused developments, he is passionate about delivering environments that drive economic growth and enhance communities.
Hannah White
Development & Asset Management

Hannah is a real estate professional with a strong focus on life healthcare and science-led development. Since joining Reef, she has been instrumental in the transformative life science-focused mixed-use campus at Royal College Place in King’s Cross, London. A graduate of the University of Cambridge with a Starred Double First-Class degree in Land Economy, Hannah has amassed a diverse range of experience across consultancy and client-side roles. She started her career as an investment manager, leading on a range of investment and development acquisitions, before transitioning to a development and asset management role, where she has gained strategic oversight of all stages of the project lifecycle.
Sam Potter
Development & Design Director

Over the last 6 years at Reef, Sam has helped shape the direction of design and development on multiple projects across sectors including healthcare, life sciences, office, hospitality and leisure. Leading on the design and delivery of projects including Cavendish Square, The Forum and the London Motorsports Campus, Sam curates teams of designers, oversees project management and is instrumental as part of the team in securing occupiers to sustain the places Reef creates. Focused on delivering high impact sustainable regeneration in cities he is passionate about public space in every project and the social benefits that our developments deliver to existing communities and new occupants.
Roisin Dwyer
HR & Management

Roisin joined Reef in early 2020 and plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless operations at the heart of the business. She started as an Executive Assistant, providing high-level organizational support to the CEO and MD as they steered the business in exciting new directions. Over time, her role has expanded to encompass broader operational and people-focused responsibilities. In addition to managing the daily rhythm of the office, Roisin oversees administrative functions, fosters a positive workplace culture, and supports the wider team. With a keen focus on efficiency, employee experience, and office management, she ensures Reef remains a welcoming, well-run, and high-performing environment.
Phil Duckworth
Development & Design Director

Phil is an ARB and RIBA accredited Architect with over 20 years of expertise in designing and managing delivery of innovative and complex mixed-use regeneration schemes with innovation and technology at their core. He joined Reef in 2011 after developing numerous residential, educational and leisure projects in leading architectural practices in London and Athens.
As Development & Design Director at Reef, Phil has managed the planning, procurement and construction stages of numerous projects in the residential, hotel and leisure sectors. Building strong relationships with construction, consultant, funding, local stakeholder and end-user partners along the way. Phil is dedicated to revitalising town and city centres, focusing on high-quality, sustainable design and complex problem-solving.
Sarah-Jayne Stamper
Development & Design

Sarah studied Architecture at Manchester School of Architecture, where her work was nominated for the RIBA Silver Medal. She is an ARB and RIBA-accredited Architect. Prior to joining Reef, Sarah was an Associate at Foster + Partners, contributing to a variety of high-profile projects across the Middle East and Asia, including the Shura Island development on the Red Sea. Sarah has experience in a range of sectors including hospitality, office, residential and mixed-use schemes. She believes in delivering design excellence whilst integrating a contextually sensitive approach and sustainable solutions for positive environmental change.
